EDUCATION ​PROGRAM

Prantic Unnayan Society (PRANTIC) has been providing access to education for rural, displaced, and marginal children. PRANTIC started an education program through a Community-Based Children’s Learning Center aiming to educate the children of “Rice Sellers” in Dhaka in 2001 which had to close in 2014 due to excessive rental price hikes in 2014. Then established Children’s Grace School in 2003. PRANTIC Education program then started to get acknowledged by different donors in 2018 firstly by OBAT Helpers Inc. USA, then by others as well such as OBAT Helpers Canada, Human Concern International (HCI), Refugee Crisis Foundation (RCF) and Children of Adams in 5 Upazilas namely, Begumganj and Bhasan Char under Noakhali; Ukhiya and Teknaf under Cox’s Bazar and Saidpur under Nilphamari district. So far, more than 4,500 children have graduated from the PRANTIC learning system at different levels. PRANTIC is providing educational access to a total of 1,690 children through the following nine facilities in 4 Upazila under 3 districts namely Noakhali, Cox’s Bazar, and Nilphamari.

  • Children Grace School, located in Begumganj, Noakhali. Established in 2003, the total number of students is 49 with 63% boys
  • Digital Learning for Host Community Children, located in Rajapalong, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. Established in 2018, total number of students are 108 with 60% girls
  • 8 Learning Centers for Rohingya Children, located in Camp-4, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, since 2018, total number of students are 741 with 49% girls
  • Back to school for Muslim Minority Children. Located in Saidpur, Nilphamari, since 2020. Total number of students are 152 with 65% girls
  • 3 Learning Centers for Rohingya Children, located in Cluster 60, Bhasan Char, Noakhali, since 2021, total number of students are 260 with 48% girls.
  • 3 Adolescent Centers for Rohingya girls, located in Camp-4, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, since 2022, total number of students are 112with 100% girls.
  • 2 Adolescent Centers for girls in Host Community, Rajapalong, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, since 2022total number of students are 30 with 100% girls.
  • 3 Life skill Development for dropped out adolescents from host community, one is located in Ukhiya and two are located in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. A total of 150 adolescents with 49% girls.
  • Tutorial for Muslim minority working children in Saidpur, Nilphamari, since Total number of students are 263 with 51% girls
