Target: 96 Bangladeshi adolescent and youth girls living in the host community of Rajapalong, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar will receive vocational training set out by Livelihood and Skill Development Sub-Sector
Since August 2017, the humanitarian crisis involving Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, has garnered global attention. An estimated 745,000 Rohingya refugees have sought refuge in Cox’s Bazar, bringing the total number to approximately 969,719 as of November 2023 (as per UNHCR data). These refugees, organized into 201,778 families, currently reside in various Rohingya camps in Ukhiya and Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar. This sudden influx has created a huge negative impact on the host community of Bangladesh. Responding to this pressing situation, the Prantic Unnayan Society (PRANTIC) is actively supporting the Rohingya response program since 2018. PRANTIC’s ongoing projects span critical areas such as education, health, livelihood, women’s empowerment, emergency response, and food and meat distribution during Eid festivals. In response to these pressing challenges, the project has been meticulously designed to provide livelihood opportunities, especially for for the female adolescents and youths living in Rajapalong, Ukhiya, Cox;s Bazar
