WASH PROGRAM
PRANTIC started WASH activities in 7 Upazila under 5 districts namely Nilphamari, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Pabna, and Bogra. The names of Upazilas are Saidpur, Rangpur Sadar, Badarganj, Dinajpur Sadar, Parbotipur, Ishwardi, and Bogra Sadar since February 2022. Two major programs are being targeted under the WASH program. One is the installation of a hand tube well to ensure pure drinking water and the other is the renovation and construction of a washroom and drainage system for the Muslim minorities living in Bihari Camps.
PRANTIC staff searches out old and damaged hand tube-well in the working area. Soon after the identification of such requirement of pure drinking water, PRANTIC forms a community committee to look after and control the tube well to be installed by PRANTIC. We also search out old and damaged toilets to repair and make them easy to use for the camp inhabitants to be managed by a community committee.
