PRANTIC Support Continues for Orphan Families with Dignity and Care
SuSince 2020, PRANTIC—through generous funding from OBAT Canada—has been implementing the Family Sponsorship Program to support orphan families in Saidpur Upazila. As part of this effort, the 5th monthly food basket distribution under the Orphan Sponsorship Program was successfully conducted on May 16, 2025, reaching 250 orphan families. Each family received a nutritionally balanced food basket containing: 18 kg rice, 5 kg flour, 2 kg lentils, 1.5 kg sugar, 1 kg of semolina (suji) and 2 litres of soybean oil. This initiative is part of 12 planned monthly distributions throughout the year of 2025. It aims to reduce the daily struggles of orphan families by ensuring access to essential food items, thereby promoting dignity, stability, and well-being. By addressing their basic needs, PRANTIC continues to make a meaningful and lasting difference in their lives.
