Location: 4 unions namely Char Jabbar, Char Jubilee, Char Amanullah and Char Wapda under Subarnachar Upazila, Noakhali

Installation of Hand Tube Well is one of the 5 components of the above project is aiming to install 25 Hand Tube wells for the 25 distressed and climate victim communities to supply pure drinking water in the targeted area. It is important to note that this area is a saline zone emerged as char in 1959. There are different water levels in this area. One is at a depth of 40-60 feet. This layer has been developed especially near the large ponds (locally called Dighi) excavated in the Eighties by the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh to assist the people for drinking, bathing, irrigation and day to day work.
